The food is delicious, large portions for reasonable prices, and the staff is helpful and friendly!

With lots of great Lebanese places in the city this is definitely a stand out. It truly is a case of the 'hole in the wall places have the beat food'!Portion sizes are huge, and the selection of items is massive. Most items are actually cooked to order as well, so do be aware it is not like Mezza where you will be in and out in a few seconds.If you are really hungry the large combination plate will fill up even the hungriest person!

Still the *best* beef shawarma in town. Location is harder to get to than the one in Scotia Square, which unfortunately closed. But super good food, large portions and a good size restaurant.

I tried Rays for the first time today, ordered the Mixed plate, and it was incredible! The dish came with so many items and they were all delicious. I'll definitely be returning and would recommend.

Not bad. But it is not real medeterranian lebanon food. It is with Canadian twist.

Fantastic experience this evening! The food was delicious, the portions were great/felt generous, the atmosphere was trendy while still being classy, and the staff were super friendly! I highly recommend giving them a go. They will be top of my list for top-notch Lebanese dishes.

I'll give it another try. The first time, I had a chicken shawarma to go but it does not travel well and I wasn't satified with the portion. We'll see.

Rays consistently won best falafel so many years in a row in the Coasts "best of" competition that they permanently retired the category and awarded it to Ray. That should tell you something. Ray treats every customer like family, and is always in a good mood. Best Lebanese food in Halifax.

Just ate here for the first time but not the last. Freshly prepared food with no additives or preservatives. Best chicken schwarma made with chicken breast. Huge portions. Definitely recommend.

We were the only ones in the place but it was after 8 on weeknight: food was fresh and delicious especially the lamb skewers! Owner was super friendly !

went to go there today for lunch. when I walked in Ray was ringing in a customer at the register and giving him his change back .without washing his hands he turned to me , wiped his mouth with his bare hand and then proceeded to ask me what I would like. I obviously did not order anything and just walked out. I don't normally write reviews but this infuriated me as I used to be in the food industry and touching cash/wiping your face is a big NO NO when handling food. Sorry Ray but I will not be returning to your establishment.

Ate at Rays today. Had the falafal plate fully loaded. Reasonably priced, super fresh and delicious. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

For $16.00 ,you don't even get a full piece of pita bread. Isn't fattoush usually topped with pita chips ?

Worst restaurant ever!The food was cold!And the shvarma is not even real shvarma it's just a piece of dried up chicken.The patatos taste like my dogs sh#t The rice not cooked all the way And the Humus dont even get me started on that The employee's have obviously never tasted real shvarma and falafel and hummus because in there restaurant you can call shvarma anything you want but what you have is not shvarma

The food is really good here. We ordered both chicken and beef shawarma’s and they were delicious. The staff were super friendly. Especially the head chef took good care of us. Giving it a 5 star for both taste and service!!

I ordered from here via Doordash. The food was the best Middle Eastern food I have eaten in Halifax. And it wasn't too expensive. Great food and value for money.

Very neat place with outstanding friendly staf. We ordered both chicken and beef shawrma plates and we couldn't have been more satisfied. Food was delicious and they were generous enough to fill the plates with different types of rice, salads and of course meat. Price is reasonable and I do recommend Ray's.

This was a giant plate of delicious food for under 11$. I don't know why I've driven past so many times and not gone in. The staff was very friendly and happy to help me decide what to get. Can't wait to go back again!

My experience happened at the Dartmouth location on Saturday June 13 at 11:30am. Entered the restaurant with my partner and Ray was sitting at a table relaxing as there were no other customers. I was told that men aren't served on Saturdays and only women are. I was confused and asked him to repeat himself. He did and then told me to get out and leave "the woman". I was absolutely appalled and started to walk out with my partner. He then said he was joking and tried to get us to stay. I told him it was an awful joke and we were leaving and was told off on the way out. I will never step foot in this place again. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

Have been seeing their new advertising and was in the area and figure I'd give it a try as I haven't been having much luck with other Lebanese places. Safe to say I was looking for a new Lebanese home for food. Tried the falafel plate, was greeted with good and quick service. But as soon as I sat down to eat I noticed everything on my plate was the same temperature, cold. Falafels stone cold and hard as a rock, also really lacking any flavour at all. Both types of rice stone cold, was in a rush and didn't have time to gripe and argue about food temperature but figure it should be known. Only part of the plate I really ate was the salad.Happened tonight around 5:45 in Bayer's lake, i did consider going back up to ask to microwave my plate but everyone was hiding out back and I didn't want to microwave my salad, other option was to what, get more cold food?

Had a shawarma roll today but it wasn't tasty as I expected. Was too much sour taste and too salty but I like Lebanese food.

My first stop on returning to Canada was Ray's for supper. Delicious, healthy, fresh food at a good price. One of my favorite places to dine, repeatedly voted Best Schwarma in Halifax. Love this place.

I ordered for delivery, and if I was in restaurant I would have sent my plate back. My Boyfriend's lamb was great however I got the shrimp and it was so dry and overcooked I could not eat it. The texture was awful. I'm giving three stars since the lamb and veggies were great, otherwise it would be less.

I enjoyed the beef shwarma. Great value for food. As another said, you could make two meals from combo plate. Rays continues the tradition for great food.

I have tried many Lebanese restaurants before, but this one is the best by far. Me and my coworkers decided to give It a try and each one of us ordered a different plate. The portions are very generous and the food was very fresh. They gained new returning customers today. Chicken shawarma was the best and my friend had the mix platter wow that was amazing!
